In business we make hundreds of decisions a day and we think long and hard about the subjects of those decisions but rarely do we stop and consider our decision making process. This fun and entertaining session will make you reflect on your decision making behaviour with a view to making you more in control of this process in the future.

Service Network is very happy to welcome entrepreneur, and ex professional poker player, Caspar Berry back to his native North East. In his keynote speech, ‘Risk Taking and Decision Making in Poker, Business and Life’, Caspar will draw on his diverse range of experiences to deliver powerful and pertinent messages about the way we think, particularly when it comes to risk-taking, communicating, decision-making and innovating. Understanding how to take calculated risks is critical in the creation of dynamic leaders who will change the world around them.

Caspar’s emphasis is on provoking a change in the behaviour of delegates for the greater good of themselves and their teams. His aim is to break people’s patterns, to energise and to motivate, and give delegates new tools – not rules – to use in order to make proactive and more informed decisions and to better understand the actions of those around them.

Who is Caspar Berry?

After studying at Cambridge University, Caspar set his sights on becoming a film writer and by the age of 23 he was writing for Miramax and Columbia Tri Star. At 25 he took the dramatic decision to move to Las Vegas where he became a professional poker player. He remained there for three years playing professionally before returning to the UK to co-found Twenty First Century Media, which he built up into the fastest growing audio visual media company in the North East of England. He sold the company in 2008 and now is a keynote speaker and presenter and poker expert on a number of TV shows and films.

Steven Slater of RMT will also be presenting at the event with ‘Top Tips to Reduce Risk within your Business’. Steven will look ways in which you can manage your stock, suppliers and customers to ensure that risk is minimised. There will then be FREE one-to-one clinic sessions at the end of the event for any delegates who would like individual, confidential advice from RMT.
