Established in 1982, Entrust is one of the oldest business support organisations in the country. Over time, we have grown and developed in line with the increasing demand for business and enterprise support in the North East, playing an important part in the region's economic regeneration. Commercially focussed and driven by results, we aim to make a positive impact on the sustainability and prosperity of our customers and our communities.
Our assistance manifests itself in three key areas: money, markets and people - by helping individuals, businesses and other organisations in both the private and public sectors to source and manage the finance, the talent, the expertise, and the contacts to help them achieve their ambitions.
A not-for-profit organisation, we work with clients across all industry sectors and at all stages of development. From pre-start ventures through to established and growing businesses, Entrust has the expertise to bring together project teams to deliver end-user project objectives.
Today, Entrust Group includes five wholly-owned subsidiaries:
- Service Network: a membership organisation that acts as a catalyst for growth in the Knowledge Intensive Business Service sector; encompassing Legal, Accounting, Banking, Marketing, HR, Design, and the Built Environment;
- Street North East: Entrust's own loan fund providing business loans to entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises particularly those moving from the informal to the formal economy;
- Financial Inclusion Newcastle (FIN): supporting entrepreneurs from disadvantaged areas to start in business;
- North East Equity Matching Fund: co-investment for growth businesses;
- Entrust Fund Management: managing our portfolio of loans and equity (approximately £15m).
