23 July 2010Service Network Reach Key Event Milestone

In a week that saw Facebook celebrate their 500th million user, Service Network reached a key milestone, when it welcomed its 3,500th event delegate to one of its networking events.
The Happy by Design event held on 21 July 2010 on Newcastle Quayside was the 75th event in the busy Service Network calendar since the organisation joined the Entrust Group of companies in January 2008. Both Facebook's and Service Network's celebration prove that networking, whether virtually or face to face, is vitally important and as popular as ever in today's world.
Service Network supports the service sector in the North East through a programme of events which bring together the best of the corporate world and vibrant smaller businesses, all focussed on delivering high value, business to business services.
Events focus on the latest thinking and techniques around managing talent for maximum impact; delivering outstanding customer service; differentiating your business and service offer; and working collaboratively in pursuit of bigger prizes. Delegates are talented, driven individuals and companies looking for opportunities to exchange best practice, learn, and move their businesses forward.
Chair of Service Neil Warwick (Dickinson Dees), said:
"The number of people signing up to events and their feedback demonstrate a real commitment in the region to delivering excellence in the service sector.
"Our events attract sector leaders to share their experience and expertise. Recent presenters have included leadership and management gurus the Savile Group, Hammonds LLP, Sage (UK) Ltd, and Freemans Grattan Holdings.
"We want delegates to share and learn new techniques, establish business contacts, and develop strategic collaborations that will take them into new markets."
Service Network's September event will focus on what the world of work will look like in 2030, featuring Rohit Talwar, an international expert on what the jobs of the future will look like and how these will impact on decisions today.
